Dante Alighieri’s poetic masterpiece is a visionary journey that takes audiences through the torment of Hell. In the poem, Purgatory is depicted as 12 concentric circles of human choices, and it is divided into seven frames, in which the seven deadly sins expiate: pride, envy, anger, sloth, avarice, gluttony, lust.
